I am now 18 and already miss childhood, the ability to watch Disney films without any problem. Well ok I do that anyway but not all people can.
I am currently watching Snow White for the first time ever tonight (I was more of a reader when I was little) and my favorite dwarf is Bashful =)
Hold onto your childhood because when you finally grow up you will just want your childhood back becase life isn't fair, it will beat you down at your weakest, you will have days when you want to give up. Have your childhood why you still can.
Don't rush to grow up.
Personally I regret that while I was a kid, there was this huge rush to grow up and act more mature than you actually were - so in effect a lot of kids lost their childhood... or, more correctly, threw it away. Nimrods.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was ten, I acted like a ten-year-old, unlike the wannabe teenagers that were the local youths. And got picked on for acting my age :/ But in the end, who was the real loser?
Childhood is a precious, once-in-a-lifetime thing. I'm not syaing hold on to it beyond its time but people should cherish what they have while they still have it!
Incidentally, Disney films <3
you could write your on blog on this, that was pure poetry to me :P
ReplyDeleteI do blog, on LiveJournal. Like an absolute mofo, in fact. But all my entries are protected and have been since last March :) I write a lot about music I'm discovering, writing, reading, the writing process and generall tomfoolery, all in a nifty and wannabe-humorous fashion!
